I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report an issue related to notifications generated through the Alarm Manager feature on Samsung devices.

Issue Description:

  • Notifications scheduled using the Alarm Manager sometimes fail to appear.
  • Occasionally, notifications are not received when the application is running in the background.
  • In some instances, notifications are duplicated, resulting in users receiving the same notification multiple times.
  • Notifications are inconsistently triggered, with some instances where notifications do not appear at all.

Impact: This issue affects the user experience of our application, causing inconvenience and frustration for our users who rely on timely notifications for important updates and reminders.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Set up notifications using the Alarm Manager feature in the application.
  2. Schedule notifications for future events or reminders.
  3. Observe the behavior of notifications over time, including when the application is running in the foreground, background, or when the device is locked.

Additional Information:

  • We have tested our application extensively on various Samsung devices, and the issue persists across different models and Android versions.
  • We have ensured that the notifications are correctly configured and scheduled using the Alarm Manager APIs provided by Android.
  • This issue does not appear to be consistent and occurs sporadically, making it challenging to identify the root cause.
