Galaxy S22since yesterday Gmail has completely stopped syncing/updating/sending notifications, even if the app is open the only way I can know if I have new email is to manually update by dragging down from the top of the screen. this has been completely disruptive and horrible. I've spent the whole day trying to fix -- have checked/rechecked all battery/storage/memory/notification settings for the phone & within Gmail settings, have cleared cache/data multiple times, have restarted multiple times, have completely removed my google account multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled Gmail updates, I even tried the thing with time zones suggested over in the eu community forum. NOTHING works. I HATE that this is forcing me to find a substitute email app bc this one is BROKEN. I feel miserable & infuriated.
(btw this isn't a delayed Gmail notification issue, THAT problem I've had for ages and have been deploying the LADB app (dumpsys deviceidle disable command) successfully, it's annoying to have to do after every restart but not nearly as annoying and problematic as Gmail not updating AT ALL. what I wouldn't give for delayed notifications at this point! instead now my Gmail app can sit open for hours and not notice any incoming mail until I manually refresh it. like I said, BROKEN.)
I truly don't think there's a setting change or toggle or fix I have not already tried without success, but I am truly desperate to resolve this g*dforsaken issue and hoping for a miracle here. thanks so much in advance.

Galaxy S22just wanted to note that as a workaround i installed samsung email last night and it works perfectly well (albeit with an uglier ui). pretty bizarre and ridiculous that it's necessary, but i'm grateful it's playing well with my google account and sending me the push notifications for gmail messages that i've been missing.
