The Samsung messaging app with the 3 dots in the graphic.  Not the google app without dots.

For a few months I have had issues when texting messaging on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

When inserting text it is unstable.  The box and text jumps up as if it is refreshing in between text words.

It also inserts the letter "c" sometimes even when my word does not have that letter, or the letters typed are not near that row of letters.

Obvious it is a software glitch.  Anyone else having this issue?  Oh and it spins and takes a long time to send a text.  Some times it get undelivered.

Hello LynnGS22U,

Thank you so much for posting. I understand that inserting text using your keyboard in the Samsung messaging app is unstable. Lets attempt some steps to try to resolve. Please, make sure your device is up to date.

If this happening using your Samsung Keyboard lets try the following:

 1. Close the apps running in the background to optimize device.
Go to settings> device care> optimize now

2.  Restart your device to help solve minor bugs and issues.
Use power key to press and hold> click power> Power device back on

3.  Clear all keyboard settings including saved passwords
Go to settings> apps> tap the sort icon> tap the switch by Show system apps> OK > Scroll and find Samsung Keyboard> Force stop > click Storage> Clear data> OK

If your Samsung keyboard is not causing this issue and your text box is still unstable in your Samsung messages app please attempt the following.

1. Make sure a third party app is not causing this issue by running device in Safe mode.
Using Power key hold and Press> select Safe Mode> Your device will state Safe mode at the bottom
Attempt to type and send a text within Safe Mode
If issue stops please, uninstall recenlty install third party apps that may be causing issue.

If you are still having this problem please Back up your unit completely and perform a Factory Data Reset. Doing this takes your device to its original factory setting and you will go through the inital setup to finish setting up the phone.

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options: 1. NO, it is not just inserting text. The app does not show the entire box to even type in for a message now. It has one small area now for maybe one line of text. Once you get past that, the text box starts vibrating and automatically inserting text all over the place as if it is unstable. The message will not show all of the text you have already written. It SHAKES while you attempt to type anything.

This is making me rethink Samsung to be honest. It is that bad. How have you not fixed the messenger yet?
