Hello:

Downloaded BritBox streaming app onto my Samsung Smart OLED TV.  Britbox does not provide a means to adjust the streaming movie's Internet viewing speed or bandwidth.

Question: Is there a Samsung Smart OLED TV setting for adjusting the incoming movie's viewing speed or bandwidth.  Example: Change 4K (Ultra HD) to standard HD.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I don't believe so, I checked my TV, and I have no options to tweak the application's picture, even if I change the picture processing from Film mode

@userGDErQ843L6  to the best of my knowledge on TV's and streaming devices this is not possible that are 4k. You can purchase 1080p streaming devices such as a Fire TV lite or the Google 1080 P.

The one from Google is $29!

When you install an app on your TV, the TV automatically optimizes the application to run at the best quality, You can try checking The Settings menu within the Application if they are available. As for adjusting the 4k settings that can be changed in the Settings menu on your TV, I am sure what model Oled TV you have, Those settings are located in the Picture menu/Expert Settings,

Good day "amsoo7":

Thank you for the inputs to my posted question. The Samsung TV being referenced is a "43" Class Q60A 4K Smart TV (2021)."  Your instructions regarding Samsung's TV Settings menu have been enacted.  Unfortunately under "Picture menu/Expert Settings", there is not an option for adjusting streaming movie picture quality as "the TV automatically optimizes the application to run at the best quality."  Does this mean this particular Samsung TV does not allow adjustments to its automatic picture optimization process or is does an adjustment capability found elsewhere within its programing?

Kind regards,

I believe that the application is automatically optimized by the TV, Some apps have an option within them to adjust some settings, but most of the picture processing is done automatically via the TV. I was able to find a Reddit Sub that deals with Britbox on Samsung TVs, Maybe this will help you tweak the settings for a better picture,

Good day "amsoo7":

Thank you for the previous post.  I'm assuming the "Q60A 4K Smart TV" does not provide a user's means of adjusting or bypassing its streaming picture automatic optimization process.  If this is true, please close this inquiry.

I appreciate your efforts-Thanks.

Kind regards,
