Smartthings does not recognize new phone

I upgraded my phone but kept the old one as a back up

. Smartthings isn't recognizing my new phone.. Any thoughts on how to fix that?

What do you mean by not recognizing?  As a personal device?  I just looked in my smart things and none of my phones are listed, but everything that is related to smart devices is - all my BT devices, my smart plugs (and what's attached to them).  So I don't understand what you mean.  I don't believe the phones themselves are ever listed in your device list.

Mostly as a presence sensor. It does not recognize when I leave or get back so all presence based routines don't work as they use the old phone which is at home as a back up

Im getting the same thing. Smartthings isn't recognizing my new phone and the wi-fi extenders aren't connecting to the modem.

I would suggest removing/logging out rhe old device from your Samsung and Google accounts, and make sue rhe new device is loggrd in.
