Maximum battery saver mode not working properly

So when I turn on max battery saving, it does not change the wallpaper to a dark wallpaper, nor does it disable the edge panel. I am trying it on the S22+. Not a super big problem since I don't use it very often but it's that the whole point of beta to test these things out.

Where is the setting for max battery saving?

Is it the last toggle switch under the power saving menu.
