After doing 2nd Beta update, this message as been on my screen. What does it mean?

Won't it kill your battery if it continues running in the background even tho you just turn off the notifications?

I was able to long click that notification then goto settings and was able to click a ticker to get it off the notification. Was the only ticker marked in use.

Even if you turn off the notification it still runs. Anyone else who is seeing this message also having your device feel warm to the touch?
