Lol I'm a millennial, I know Messenger sucks in a cornucopia of ways but it's been completely failing to exist on my phone without crashing multiple times an hour. But I fixed it Thank goodness

yeah I also noticed lag and stuttering, but this has been even before the beta, hoping one ui 6 fixes this
