Have you tried clearing the cache and data on the Gear Manager application? You can do that by going to Settings>Apps>Gear Manager on your phone, then pressing Storage. The options to clear the cache and data are in there.
I cleared the cache and data and my watch still won't connect to my phone after the last update. Now when I go in to gear there is an update available, but it just says preparing to connect and never does. My phone says connected through serial profile, but won't connect to the gear itself, my app just says update required but won't pair with my watch
A few days ago Gear S3 started to randomly drop BT connection while I was sitting in the same spot with my phone in 1 feet away. Also, Samsung Pay kept resetting itself and I had to re-enter my cards time after time.
I've reset my watch half dozen times and cleared cache, uninstall/install all 3 apps multiple times.
I get through an initial pairing screen, then "Terms and Conditions" and after that, it's a dead end - "Connection Failed. Try again" ...
My phone is LG V20 (LG-H918).
I love this watch. Brite screen, rotating bezel, and Samsung Pay. But all these connectivity issues are so annoying, and I'm ready to return it.
Just started out of the blue yesterdYy. Uninstalled all three Appa gear, gear s, account service, reinstalled.
It can find my gear S3 but as soon as I try to pair, the app exits. I have a pixel XL with the beta android SW but that was loaded months ago.
I may go to best buy and return the watch for store credit. Had it since it came out but now it is just a watch. What is the deal?
It is on the Android beta, but that was a month ago after the last update.
I was at the gym and it just list connection. It has happened before, just reconnect and all is well. I find if I disconnect Mr bt head phones it is better.
This happened without provocation and with great malace...
