Unlocked devices generally have this feature available. I'm in the U.S. and wherever I've purchased carrier versions, it wasn't available, and the provider charged to provide the features the app offered natively. It wasn't until I started buying unlocked devices from Samsung that I got the feature and long ago, I was able to side load the APK to an older device.
Appreciate the comment. I bought mine from Samsung website so mine is an unlocked. However I cannot seem to install the APK or find the option in the settings for the phone app. I'm currently on T-Mobile but I am unsure if that is why?
I bought it using Affirm so technically I am not unlocked yet. Maybe that could be the reason.
