I've asked before and haven't gotten an answer yet. It seems to be growing a lot. Not as big as you, but it's gone from 7->8gb. I would love an answer as well.
Other data is usually app data that is being stored on device by your app or if you have multiple users it would be data stored for other users. It may also be system as well as app cache.
You may try to below to see storage being used by the apps.
my File -> Analyze storage -> Click on i next to Apps -> Allow permission and observe the difference in other category as this moves storage used by apps from other to apps.
You may also erase cache of device and this should clear some storage of the other category.
