Recently my green light mic indicator is staying lit in the upper righthand corner. I can turn it off in the settings but then cant use the camera. Iv tried to set it to "only while using app" but it wont open the camera app. Any suggestions?

Settings then search for permissions manager. When in there hit the mic permission. It will show you all apps that have that permission. Go through the ones that you approved and see if one of them you allowed unintentionally. Also I believe it should show when the last time an app used the mic.

@Jigga57 To learn what has access to your microphone, long press on the Microphone access icon in the quick panel. Or alternatively, go into phone settings -> Security and privacy -> Privacy.

In the top box it shows you which permissions (Camera, Microphone, Location, etc.) were used in the last 24 hours. If you click on Microphone in that box, it will show you which apps used the Microphone in the last 24 hours.

In the past, I have noticed Samsung Health using the microphone at odd times.

I've set microphone and camera for Camera app to allowed but toggled the microphone off in the quick panel.

I have no problem opening and taking pictures while only green dot for camera is displayed. However, it's required to toggle the microphone on to take a video.

This has been happening to me for a few weeks now. I also made a post about it. At the time, it said Google, Instagram, and Google Meet were accessing my mic 24/7 and the only way I could fix this was by going in their permissions and setting access to Never unless I need to use them. It started out if nowhere but that's my only fix for it atm
