Yes. I'm no dev, so I don't know what it would take to do this, but it seems to me that all apps should be forced to display edge to edge, and the status bar/navbar should display transparently over the UI elements. Android phones have had rounded corners and punch hole cameras since around 2018. 7 years later, virtually every android phone has those things. The fact that apps haven't been updated to accommodate the displays they run on shows that devs aren't going to support edge to edge until/unless they are forced to by manufacturers.

Customization/personalization options (for icons specifically) in One UI are currently fragmented into 1) Wallpaper & Style 2) Home Screen Settings 3) Galaxy Themes 4) Theme Park While advanced users are able to navigate this, the fragmentation is overwhelming and confusing for the average user. Beyond just fragmentation, many of the options we are given are incomplete compared to third party launchers and theming tools. Samsung, please consider unifying these various theming tools into a single location. The integration of HomeUp icon settings into Home Screen Settings was an excellent start! Please consider adding icon packs, color pallete, dark mode icons, forced icon theming for unsupported icons, etc. into Home Screen Settings as well. Then you can begin phasing out the outdated and incomplete tools. This would simplify and unify the theming experience, making it easier, more accessible, and more friendly for the end user.

I noticed: 1) sound effect changes 2) slight difference in the separate notification panel animation (not present in unified panel, unfortunately) Are there any other changes you've noticed?

Please consider making Widgets with colorful backgrounds obey color pallete. Currently, Widgets like Weather, Alarms, etc. create visual inconsistency when color pallete is applied.

This is available in regular settings, not just good lock. However, the problem with hiding the gesture hint is that UI elements are moved downward, sometimes uncomfortably low. Even if you are ok with that, it still isn't a solution for the status bar inconsistency.

Posted this a few days ago. Worth noting that this isn't only an issue in third party apps. Some of Samsung's own apps experience this as well.

Unfortunately, it isn't a bug. Android developers have to provide a color pallete icon in order for one to display. What the community wants is a way to force-theme icons that don't provide color pallete icons. You can sort of do this with Theme Park, but you can't use color pallete in conjunction with tinted icons. Also, Theme Park breaks dynamic icons (clock and calendar) while color pallete does not.

OnePro icon packs are excellent, but honestly, the brokenness of Theme Park keeps me from using third party icons packs. Samsung has long held customization as a selling point for their devices, yet their theme engine is quite unrefined with several glaring issues. To make matters worse, the fragmentation of customization options between Wallpaper & Style, Galaxy Themes, Home Screen Settings, Theme Park, and Galaxy Themes is more than a little confusing for the average user. I hope they are able to correct these things in upcoming Theme Park updates.

I don't think it is possible for stickers to be used in-line with text, as a limitation of RCS & SMS protocols. Emoji appear in-line because they are text characters (unicode) and not images. Apple's "GenMoji" is able to appear in-line with iMessage because it is an instant messaging service and is not dependent on those protocols.

The inconsistency of color pallete is very frustrating. Color tinting is a much needed feature! If smaller startups like Nothing can figure out consistent monochrome theming for icons, and competitors like Apple can offer universal icon tinting, surely Samsung can find a solution.

Posted about this a while back. I have been using the unified notification panel for this reason. New notifications are just out of reach for one handed use.

Please consider adding edge lighting and lock screen pop-ups for detailed notification view. I prefer the functionality of detailed view when unlocked, but the lack of lock screen pop up and edge lighting makes it a poor option when the device is locked.

Do you have brief notifications on? Do you have it set to show when screen is off? Edge lighting/pop-up does not work with detailed notifications, unfortunately.

As far as I can tell, the screen shots I shared are not part of the home screen settings. And Home Up does appear in Good Lock, but is not accessible.

Source? I seem to remember reading somewhere that home up was going to provide things like animation style options. Edit: Found the images from someone who reportedly had access to One UI 7 Home Up. Not sure if it's legit.

Tbh the ones saying One UI 7 looks like iOS clearly have never spent any significant amount of time using an iOS device. Similarities? Sure. Imitation? Not quite.

Not sure how forcing pure black would work for third party apps, but I'd love to see it. The dark gray of Google apps and web pages is less than ideal.

Please consider adding a live wallpaper (lock and home screen) showing current weather conditions. For example, using the background colors in the weather app as a wallpaper, then overlaying animated rain, snow, etc. based on current weather conditions.
