Can't Backup phone

I'm trying to use Smart Switch on my pc to backup my phone and it fails every time.

I have tried to just copy my photos to my computer and my phone randomly stops access to files.

Not sure if anyone has had this issue and if so did you fix it and how.

Never have backed up my S21 but when I switched from the S10 I used it.

Is SmartSwitch at the current version and you've got enough disk space to do the backup?

This may sound naïve, but can you try a different cable as well as different USB port on the PC

I've even tried different computers and still the same result.
