Just make sure you have an alternate method of getting into your phone in case you still have trouble with the fingerprint reader. Add a PIN or password that you can remember.

Vibrate mode automatically mutes sound. Some people just want mute, not vibration. If you want your phone to not make sounds but still vibrate, you have to use vibration mode.

If you have notification categories turned on, you can. You can also add a custom sound to that particular notification. If you are speaking about a messaging app, you can add a specific sound for a specific chat.

Then it's some other bug that's causing it. Might be a third party app. Try optimization using Good Guardians' app booster. Also, turn off restart when necessary and instead restart on schedule. It's not supposed to restart while you are actively using the phone. It will restart if your phone is overheating. Your phone does not have to feel hot to be overheating, but the internal sensor will detect the condition. However, it's been my experience that there is always a warning when the phone is overheating, and it will first slow down and only restart if the overheating doesn't stop.

Settings, device care, auto optimization - check the settings to make sure you don't have it set to restart when necessary. It is supposed to warn you, though.

I think they did that because the headset uses very much battery, and probably would even in standby. I do agree with you that there should be some mechanism where it goes into standby for about 5 mins before shutting down completely. There are many reason why someone would need or want to remove the headset momentarily.

I think it's outrageous that things you copy to a clipboard in one keyboard ends up being saved in another keyboard's settings. Do you have the clipboard edge panel? I believe that panel is tied to the Samsung keyboard's clipboard. I use GBoard. I just went to check the Samsung keyboard clipboard history and saw so much stuff I never knew was there. I cleared the history which also erased everything on my clipboard edge panel. If you consider the clipboard history a security issue, you should just get in the habit of clearing the clipboard history regularly by briefly switching to the Samsung keyboard daily and clearing the clipboard. If you don't already have the edge panel, you might want to add it. It makes it much easier to clear the clipboard without having to switch keyboards.

You can't separate the two - but if you have not activated the spam folder, you should see the texts. Blocking may automatically activate the folder, though. You can still see spam messages by clicking your avatar and selecting "spam and blocked" to see the contents of the folder. You can mark the messages as "not spam", but I am not clear whether that undoes the block setting for calls. You can also initiate do not disturb and allow all contacts, except that one and keep do not disturb always on. Many users do this. All calls and texts from anyone not in your contacts will go to voicemail and the messaging app, respectively without sounds.

Also, check your modes. Some modes have gray scale as part of the settings - sleep mode, for one. You might have the color correction icon on your quick panel and accidentally toggled it on (it looks like an eyedropper).

Like pianodude58 said, blocking the contact will send calls from blocked numbers directly to voicemail. It just will not allow the call to ring your device. Your contact will not know they are blocked, unless they figure it out because their calls all go to voicemail. Their texts may go to Google messages' spam folder, though, if you use Google messages. If you are using Samsung messages, there is no spam folder, so you will still see the texts without hearing the notification sound.

Sorry, I thought you meant that the app did not exist on your phone. Clearing the app data will not erase the recordings. Clearing the data resets the app to its original settings, as if you uninstalled and re-installed the app. It erases all the settings, but no data. It does not touch the actual voice mailbox. If the saved recordings reside on your phone, they will remain there. If you just did not delete them, they will remain on your carrier's servers according to their retention policy. Your carrier's SIM should have no impact on whether the voicemail exists unless you switched carriers. If your voicemails came through another carrier and you just left them on that carrier's servers instead of downloading them to your phone, your "saved" voicemails are gone because they were not saved to your phone, they were just archived on your former carrier's servers. If you are using the same carrier you had with your old phone, the archived voicemails should be there. They may not show in the app as they are not new voicemails. To know if they are there, you would have to dial into your voicemail and listen. Voicemail recordings are only truly saved if you download them to your device. You can restore your backup from your old phone from the Samsung cloud. That should return the app data and history to your new phone.

I read in another post that Samsung's visual voicemail app is only available to factory unlocked phones purchased directly from Samsung. I don't know the correctness of that statement because it never came on any of my phones. I have never purchased directly from Samsung. Your carrier might have its own visual voicemail app that you can download from the Play store. If your carrier is T-Mobile, or Metro they have their own visual voicemail app. When you say clearing the data, do you mean a factory reset? If you have downloaded saved voicemails to your phone, you should be able find them in my files and copy them to a flash drive before resetting your phone. If you only saved them by not deleting them, they should still remain on your carrier's servers so they shouldn't disappear after a reset. Resetting the phone won't bring back the app, though. If you have a Samsung backup in Samsung cloud for your previous device, you might be able to restore the app to your phone from the backup.

Yes, they would be in chronological order, last interaction first. This includes anything you responded to or sent prior to reading any new incoming message. So, if you got a new message, didn't open it to read it, chose another chat from your list or started a new one, it would push down any unread text. The indicator number and the bold text would still remain to let you know what was unread. I don't know how it works in Samsung messages, but in Google there was never a tab for unread messages. I would not rely on anything working properly in Samsung messages these days. In Google messages, you can have ads sent to the spam folder, so it's less to sort through. It's not the fault of the messaging app that you don't read or clear your messages for months. The app has no way of knowing that. In Google messages, you can also search for unread messages.

Is this the view in your viewfinder before you snap the photo, or are you zooming in after the picture was taken? If your resolution settings are correct, you should have no problem with zooming in. If this is the view in your viewfinder, there is something wrong with your zoom lens and you need to go to a service center.

Open the contacts app, tap the three dots, go to the contacts settings and see what your default storage location is. If it's the SIM card, move the contacts to another location (phone, Samsung account, or Google) and then change the default storage location to wherever you moved them. The default location is not usually the SIM card, although your provider may add some carrier specific contact numbers to the SIM.

If comfort shield didn't work for you, there might not be enough yellow to counteract the blue light. Try adding a color filter in the accessibility settings. You can try for a deeper yellow and see if that helps. Transparency and hue are totally adjustable.

What steps are you taking? 1. Open the health app 2. Navigate to the medication panel 3. Tap on the medication panel and scroll to your medication list (not the schedule) 4. Choose the medication you would like to edit or delete 5. Tap the three dots on the top right of the screen and select delete or archive. Archive is better, as it will remove it from your list, but retain the history. You can also edit the schedule to add an end date, which will keep the med in view along with the history, but let you know when you stopped taking it.

Your SIM would have no bearing on the performance of your phone, unless you are having problems making and receiving calls and texts. If you get a new SIM from your provider and your contacts are saved to your SIM, they will move that data over. You should not store your contacts on your SIM. They should be backing up in your automatic backup and/or to Google, so you should not lose them. You can also manually back them up before you replace your SIM

From lurking, I see that In the past people have gone bonkers over this double security "feature" which is why they removed it in the first place. I don't understand why they put it back. It's not so bad since it's only required the first time I open the wallet on a given day, then the wallet stays unlocked all day. It's just an unnecessary extra step.
