Agreed, and you can also hide the one you don't want to use 😉 or just keep both...your choice

What is Google messages that Duo app? What is it called? I disable everything Google by default on every device as a result my phone gets 3 day battery life.

I don't use Google. So, what is the message app?

@S3RG Unfortunately their icons are way too similar.

  • Google Messages has the icon with 3 horizontal stacked lines
  • Samsung Messages has the icon with 3 dots in a horizontal line

wow Google messages seems very bloated in size. Never really paid attention to how big the version of Google messages was compared to Samsung messages.

@PaperStation "wow Google messages seems very bloated in size."

I use Google Messages. The app is taking up about 387 MB in storage. That isn't much for an active app.

Meanwhile the unused Samsung Messages app is taking up about 35 MB total.

What numbers are you seeing?

same as what is posted, just bloated in size when compared to Samsung messages, yet Samsung messages has more features still.
