Verizon customers left out of one ui 4.0 beta

Why are verizon customers excluded from the beta? I have asked both samsung and Verizon and neither gave me a straight answer.

Has anyone on Verizon received the update? And does your phone have to be unlocked?

You can only get it if your phone was purchased unlocked (no payment plan) and even then you need to make sure Verizon unlocked it (which can be as easy as a phone call or chat with them), but you'll know if it is unlocked because if it isn't you won't see the banner to join the program. If you aren't seeing it now, your phone isn't unlocked

You may also need to look under the "benefits" tab and scroll down and see if it's there, some are reporting that's where they found it

I've checked and they only lock phones for 60 days after activation after that they are automatically unlock.

Samsung offers several different versions of the same device to different carriers!!! At&t is not the same as t-mobile or sprint.. I purchased a unlocked phone from Samsung direct! And it will work with any carrier world wide!! You can check in settings, about phone and your model number will show where your phone was sold and if it is a handset that's eligible.. my unlocked s21 took beta and my carrier is Visible!!! So my understanding is , the phone model must be either a sprint, t-mobile handset or a Samsung unlocked phone, my model # is sm-g998u1/ds. Hope I'm correct and that this helps

Not sure I'm understanding the question correctly but I purchased a refurbished (locked) Verizon S21+5G from Amazon. I received the beta update yesterday.

Hello  ,

Verizon customers on Samsung unlocked devices are allowed to participate in beta program. We need carrier approval in order to conduct beta on a model that is carrier locked.

Just so you know, this is a carrier decision.  Verizon never participates in Betas.... it's nothing new.
