Please tell Samsung to put an auto reply feature back into the mobile software.  Spending huge money on Z Fold 4 then 5 etc, it seems the least that could be available in a feature.  Not everyone wants to hold their phone 24/7.

Quick decline and quick responses defeat the effect of leaving your phone untouched for 24 hours as those require action and can't be scheduled in advance.  Please and thank you, a devoted Samsung user.

I would like them to add an auto reply feature for DND during a set time time period with a customizable message.

Through modes and routines I've finally (hopefully) figured out how to do it for phone calls but there is nothing for sms.

Because you don't decline a text, they come through anyway. You respond to a text when and if you feel like it. You don't even need to do it for phone calls in do not disturb, as calls go straight to voicemail, and I assume people who want to hear from you will leave a message.

Who do you expect to tell Samsung? Send feedback through the feedback link in the support tab.

There is no auto reply to text messages.  As I said, text messages simply come in (unless they are blocked) and the user decides if and when to answer.  No auto reply is necessary.  That's why it's not there.  Just as "everyone does not want to hold their phones 24/7", not every text message needs to be viewed or answered immediately (or at all), not every call needs to be answered or returned. People are calling and texting *you*, you  owe them no explanation about why you are not answering.

The quick decline messages for phone calls is usually used if you are already on a call and call waiting kicks in, or are otherwise indisposed and can't answer right away.  Turning on do not disturb will send all calls directly to voicemail where your callers can leave a message and your notifications will still show, but not be heard.

It's like when you put an away message for emails.  The emails still come through but you're letting the sender know they may not receive a response for a while.  I agree....an auto reply feature would be great.  As a mental health provider, when I go on vacation but need to take my phone with me in case patients contact me it is imperative that they receive an auto reply informing them that I am away and that it will be a while before they can expect a response and if emergent to call the office admin or the ER.
