Galaxy Note PhonesSince Samsung did away with Quick commands in Bixby, I'm stuck. Have tried making a routine that I had in quick commands with no luck. Any routine or mode expects here.
I have several WIFI lights around the house being controls from Alexa. I used to just say "Bixby, Goodnight," and it would turn out the lights, turn on both Alarms on my phone and turn the screen off.
I've tried every which way using routines or modes to no avail. Could someone give me a clue. I even tried modifying the sleep routine. TIA

Galaxy Note PhonesDo you realize you can create an Alexa routine for that, rather than a Bixby routine? I have an Alexa routine for when I go away, that when I say "Alexa, I'm leaving", my shades close, my light is turned off , and she tells me to have fun. On my return my routine is "Alexa, I'm home" and my shades get raised, my lights get turned on and she welcomes me back. I can even run the routine from the Alexa app on my phone if I've already left. You can also make a Smart Things routine if your devices are linked in Smart Things. You can make a mode or routine that bypasses Bixby entirely, and place a widget on your home screen for quick activation. You can then tell Bixby to run "away" routine or start the mode (or whatever you name it).
To create an Alexa routine, open the Alexa app, open the side menu (three lines on top left), choose routines, tap the + on the upper right to create a new routine, name it and go through the steps to add your triggers and actions to it. Test it and then save it and enable it. The alarm part may be a little trickier, since Alexa sets alarms separate from routines and will not set an alarm on your phone. Let me see if I can configure a routine for you in M&R. Does it have to be voice activated or can it be a button action?

Galaxy Note PhonesAre the Bixby quick commands gone in OneUI 8.5? Because they still show in my routine, as an action, not a trigger, though. Since I don't use Bixby and don't have it set up, I cannot add it to a routine. I refuse to set Bixby up. But, you can try the following:
If: <button action> double press side key (or whatever option would be your choice)
then: <Bixby> run quick command
If the quick commands no longer exist, just use the button action as the trigger then:
<clock> turn on alarms (select which alarms to turn on)
<smart things> control smart things (select devices to turn on or off, or run a smart things routine if you created one).
<modes> (optional) turn on mode: sleep mode or
<notifications> (optional) Do not disturb (turn on)
<display> Screen timeout (select 15 seconds)
Your phone screen will go off according to your timeout setting, unless you change the timeout period to less than what you normally have it set, or you can just tap the side key to turn the screen off manually.
