Galaxy S PhonesHi,
I have installed the last update on my S20 and now I regret it so much.. there are several issues I have but the main ones are:
1. suddenly the phone is much slower
2. the notifications icons on the lock screen are all in the same colour
3. every time when I restart the phone after a shut down, I get the new messages notification icon on the lock screen, if I scroll down on the notification it shows the last 2 messages I got (that I already read and responded to the day before!). It also shows on the message app the number of new messages I have but obviously no new messages. So annoying...
Please help!
Thank you

Galaxy S PhonesHi, I deleted the messages app cache but looks like it didn't solve the problem, I still got the icon notification for new messages after power off.
Any other ideas? 🙏

Galaxy S PhonesWhile clearing out the message app cache is good, my suggestion was to delete the phone's cache partition. To do this power down your phone. Restart by holding the power button and volume up key. When you see the Samsung logo appear on the screen, let go of both buttons. The phone will go into recovery mode. Use the volume keys to navigate to "wipe cache partition" and use the power key to select. Once selected, you will get a warning and asked to confirm. Again, navigate to "yes" with the volume button and select with the power button. It will take 1 second, then "restart" will be highlighted. Press the power button to restart. See if the issue persists.

Galaxy S PhonesI still get the old messages notifications every day.. I actually have a S22 not S20 if that makes any difference.. Those updates ruined my phone.. and I postponed them for years, big mistake to accept the update..

Galaxy S PhonesBut when I accepted the update you think it automatically installed all the old ones too. And I think it did it because it took an hour to finish the update, there were 4-5 restarts of the phone in that time.
Will I lose everything installed if I do a factory reset?

Galaxy S PhonesIf you have a backup in the cloud, you will preserve your apps and settings and contacts. Anything important to you should be backed up independently of the cloud backup before you reset. If you have a computer or a flash drive at least as large as your phone storage, you can use Smart Switch to make a complete backup of everything on your phone to restore after a factory reset. If you only want to make sure specific things are backed up, like photos, documents, contacts, messages, music, etc. you can selectively choose what to backup.
