I use Google Messages. I took a picture and after I saw what I needed to see, I deleted it. It no longer shows up in the gallery. However, when I attempt to attach a picture from the gallery within the messages app, that picture still shows up. I've looked all over to try to find it but I can't. How can I get rid of it? Do you know where it is saved? Help please. Thank you.

Gallery has a trash can. Tap the menu icon in the bottom right to get to it.

Google Messages defaults to Google Photos, they are seeing the photo in the cloud.

Ah. I don't use Google Photos, so that's not an issue for me.

I need to be able to see my photos on all devices, it works seamlessly for my iPad, phones and Samsung tablets.

You have to delete it from Google Photos too. Google messages is opening Google Photos, if you have automatic backup turned on, that is why you are seeing the photo.

Just FYI, with Google photo backup on, your photos will automatically back up to Google Photos - this is normally a good thing.  However, if you no longer want a photo, and you delete it from the Gallery, it stays in Google (because it's a backup not a sync) until you delete it from there.  To avoid having to delete a temporary photo twice, always delete from the Google Photos app.  This will remove it from the backup and the original location.
