What do you mean by merging your notes?  What app is Notepad?  Do you mean Samsung Notes?

Hey, Members_bEmSCHF. Thanks for reaching out to the community for assistance. As others have said, we would need more information to help you with your concern. Details like which specific app you are using, any troubleshooting steps you've tried, or which devices are synced with your Notepad. Here are some basic troubleshooting steps I normally do when I'm having issues with a specific app. 

If the merging is caused by background cloud synchronization:
1) Open the Samsung Notes app.
2) Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the left.
3) Select the Settings gear icon.
4) Tap on Sync with Samsung Cloud.
5) Select Sync now to force a manual sync and resolve version mismatches.
6) Turn off the toggle entirely if they want to keep notes strictly local to the Galaxy S21

A corrupted app cache can make text jump around or force strange app behaviors:

1) Open the phone's main Settings app.
2) Tap Apps and select Samsung Notes.
3) Tap Storage.
4) Select Clear cache (Do not clear data unless notes are backed up).
5) Tap Force stop and reopen the app.
