Notification Icons Not Showing

My wife just bought the S21 Ultra and has an issue where she hears a notification tone but nothing shows up on the status bar as far as notification Icons. When she swipes down the notification panel it shows. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thank you in advance.

Settings then notifications then advanced settings then click show notification icons then all or whatever you choose to show.
