Samsung ends S21 Support

Samsung has officially removed the 

Galaxy S21

, 

S21+

, and 

S21 Ultra

 from its regular security update list as of February 2026. This removal signifies the end of the device's five-year support lifecycle, which began with its launch in January 2021. 

While the main S21 trio is no longer supported, there are specific details for related models and future expectations: 

• Final Updates: The series received its final major OS upgrade (Android 15-based One UI 7) in early 2025 and its last scheduled security patch in January 2026.
• Galaxy S21 FE
  : Unlike the rest of the series, the 
  Galaxy S21 FE
   remains on the list but has been downgraded to quarterly updates. It is expected to receive security support until February 2027
• Galaxy S22 Series
• : This series has also been moved from monthly to quarterly updates as it enters its final stages of support.Emergency Fixes: Samsung may still issue "out-of-cycle" updates for the S21 series in rare cases to address critical, high-risk security vulnerabilities.
