I have a MacBook Pro running Tahoe 26.6.2. I have installed Smart Switch and I keep getting this message: "Failed to connect the device" . I have a picture below. I found this article and it says to uninstall Smart Switch and install Android File transfer. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10002796/#failed-to-connect-the-phone-to-a-mac-wi.... However, there is no MacOS version of Android File Transfer.

Does anyone have any idea how I can make this work? The phone is set up for USB transfer and is unlocked. I really want to back everything up myself before I replace this phone.

Thanks.  Screenshot 2026-09-12 at 10.28.26.png

Brotien its with the ENTIRE HD. Turn your Mac off and boot it to recovery mode (hold the power button even after the logo boots up) then once you enter options click recovery

Then navigate to Utilities, select Startup Security Utilities. You need to enter device password to access, then select Reduced Security, make sure to check "Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers" and restart the mac normally. There, it should probably work

I don't understand what you're saying. The device that isn't connecting is my phone, not my hard drive.
