Not getting text notifications

I get text messages but I'm not getting notifications,sounds or chat bubbles

Did you go to notification settings?

Yes. I switched to the default app instead of Google message

In message settings goto notification and turn on

Did that still nothing. Turned off , restarted phone, turned back on

•  Allow Notifications Must be On  >
•  Notification  Categories  >
•  Click on top of "New Messages"  >
   (Not the switch on/off)
•  Alert & Show as Pop up must be on.
