โ€ผ๏ธ UPDATE โ€ผ๏ธ
It's been resolved!! I should of done this in the first place but all I had to do was insert my SIM back into the phone and it worked. Imagine that ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‚

Alright, so, quick question. I had a S22 Ultra before upgrading to the S25 Ultra when it first came out. I still use the S22U from time to time so I recently went to check and see if there's a new update for it but whenever I go to check, it always comes back saying this. Does anyone know what's going on and/or how to fix it? Any advice is appreciated. TIA ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Current Software:
Android 14
One UI 6.1
Security Patch - Jan 1, 2025

Is there a sim card (or e-sim) in the phone? If not, put one in and see what happens (you can still update over wifi).
Otherwise, try updating using smart switch.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about doing next but it just didn't seem like that could be it since you can update over Cellular, Wi-Fi and/or both. I have it set to Wi-Fi only but I guess I'll try that quick and see if that makes a difference.

They give the updates through the mobile carriers, but you can still download it over Wi-Fi. I'm glad I was able to help.

It may be a software glitch which performing a partition cache clear may have helped but Samsung in their infinite wisdom removed that option.

The "Wipe Cache Partition" functionality has been largely phased out.

Other Android manufacturers removed this menu option several years ago, and Samsung recently followed suit, beginning with their February 2026 security patches.

If you have a physical SIM just put it in your old phone, it just might need to connect to a carrier server to force the updates.
