My phone literally had 20% at 1am last night this morning at 11 am, my phone is dead.
My phone is on battery saver, everything turned off and cleared all apps from background. Good guardians sleep mode is even turned on.

Why is there a steep decline in battery during idle?
I just ran app optimiser in good guardians a few days ago. Restarted the phone a couple of times. Everyday my battery goes dead, help!
The only option I see is to reset the phone.

I finally found out what was draining my battery. It was my second SIM card (international one). I must have turned it back on by accident, and it was on roaming, which was messing up my battery life. I turned it off again, and now my battery is back to normal, only draining 8-12% overnight. Problem solved, i guess.

Dolby atmos movie mode doesn't work properly since one ui 6.1 update. Both my tab s9 and 23 ultra has this issue.

This is just my guess. It could be a battery issue.

How long do you think your battery lasts? Depending on your usage, 18-24 hours would be average up time. Why do you not keep your phone on the charger at night? Night time is when the phone backs up and that uses power. Good Guardians battery guardian will also tell you which apps are draining your battery. If you have app power saving turned on, tapping it will tell you which apps had high battery usage. Also do a diagnostic on the battery. It could be failing. But I really think it's because you are not charging it because you have unrealistic expectations of battery life. If you don't want to charge it at night and you don't want it to back up, turn it off.

I missed the part where you said you had 20% at 1 a.m. and was dead 10 hours later.  What did you expect?  Did you really think 20% was going to remain at 20% for 10 hours?  Even idle, the phone uses power in order to keep things like your time current, keep the connection to your mobile network and wi-fi (if you had it turned on).

Most people don't prefer overnight charging. If you do it fine, but I'm not on the same boat. I clearly stated that there were no background apps when it was idle. Even Good guardian showed no app usage. Previously, before the update, my phone would drain only 5-10% overnight. 20% is a lot. Check with your phone without overnight charging once. Diagnostic came good, no issues. "Unrealistic expectations" really? Bro, it doesn't even withstand 20% idle battery overnight!

Just charge your phone at 20% then. It does not matter if there are background apps running, the phone still uses power. No apps may be running, but the system is. Normal people would see 20% and put it on a charger, whether they prefer overnight charging or not. One phone call and the battery would die at that level. Unless you are putting it in airplane mode, your cell signal is still active. Even if your phone wasn't dead 10 hours later, you'd still have to charge it.

I tested the same thing with 53% battery today at 1am. Guess what? I had 45% battery at 9am. That was my realistic expectation. 5-10% drain is acceptable when it's idle. 20% was unacceptable. I guess the battery drains down faster when it goes below 20.

All batteries drain faster when they are very low.
