Hello, I have realized that since I have updated my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 8, using applications in the Secure Folder and browsing stuff, it does not pull up anything in my secure folder and stuff from the outside of the secure folder. Further more, the Android based file manager is also glitched out and not working properly. Say for instance, if I needed to browse my files, out of Secure Folder, it shows everything in Recents. But when I browse files in secure folder, it pops up recents but the entire thing is blank.
Hopefully this is something that is not just happening only on my end.
This appears to be a bug with Secure Folder implementation in the One UI 8 update. Hope they fix it soon. There are other threads reporting the same and other bugs, which may be worth following.
Yea. I really want this fixed but I'm tired of running potientially dangerous fixes. On reddit someone's spreading a "fix" that says to install this version of documentsui 14 ( com.android.google.documentsui ) is the app that's having issues. Anyway I ended up running the apk they were recommending through virustotal. Its a modified apk that was made to fix permissions. It may work but also may be ransom where. Or at least virus total found some malicious code. The package was modified to have a super high version number to make it valid to update version 16 to 14 and the data inside show it was supplied by zyed hacks official for redemi note. So again many claim it fixed their issue but I'm not trying to have a ransomware take over my phone. So I sit here and wait for Samsung to FIX there software!!!!
Yep, they won't acknowledge the issue and I tried even talking to support about it but they won't acknowledge the issue and kept trying to tell me how to activate secure folder when that isn't what I wanted resolved.
