Click and hold on the camera icon, then you'll get a applet popup. On the top right of the applet you'll see a small circle with an 'i' in it. Click on the to go to the app's properties, click on storage and then choose clear cache. If that does not work, repeat that process and clear both the cache and the data. Clearing will just reset the app to its default settings.

Ok, go to camera settings, then click on "Settings to keep" and check if "Camera mode" is turned on. If it is, turn it off.

They were all turned off. This is crazy. I tried turning the timer on, then off, get the 2 second countdown both ways.

I have only one more suggestion otherwise I'm stumped as well.

Go to the camera properties again, choose force stop, then clear the data and the cache. Restart your phone. I hope this works.

It didn't. Sigh, guess I'm stuck with it. Thx for trying. The other issue is fixed.

@Dez411 Are you referring to the 2 second count down that happens when you use your palm to trigger a selfie? If so, I don't think there is any way to stop that. It is designed to give you time to get your palm out of the way.

I just did a selfie with my palm and did not get that delay.

In camera settings -> Shooting methods, is Show palm enabled?
