Galaxy S25Did you only clear the cache, or did you clear the data as well? Clearing the data will not delete any messages, it only refreshes the app and you will have to redo all your settings. I suspect there may be a corruption in the data. You can uninstall Google Messages (if you need to) from it's page in the Play store.

Galaxy S25Every 2 or 3 years you have a major glitch that's so bad you have to replace your phone? I suspect that you do not perform regular maintenance on those devices - rebooting regularly (auto optimization), regularly cleaning out app caches (for the biggest cache hogs like social media and maps) and optimizing your apps (using Good Guardians App Booster). Start doing this on your S25 and you should not run into that issue.

Galaxy S25Hello LucyCurls welcome to the Samsung Community! I can understand the confusion at why your phone must be behaving in such a way that you canโt use it as intended. I will be happy to troubleshoot with you today to see if we can solve this issue together. To start, I first recommend trying to clear out files by looking at your storage in your settings. Sometimes your phone may be full on storage, and you may have a little too many applications or photos. Nevertheless, please check out the link here for more information on how to troubleshoot your issue.
