On a single cell widget for a routine, is there a way to get rid of the purple and white circle with a check? This takes away from the aesthetics on home screen.
Also, the difference in appearance when routine is running (on) vs not running (off) is better than some previous iterations, but it would be nice to have this customizable โ€“ to give the widget separate on and off colors, possibly even with an option for transparency.

Looks to me like the single mode widget takes on the icon you set for the mode. The widget background changes between on and off, not to mention an icon appears in the status bar.

Thanks for your response!
Mine looks like this in the on mode. When off, it's all the lighter color. This gives a noticable contrast when on, because it adds the darker state.
Ideally, I would have the whole icon be more Inconspicuous when off, and bright and noticable when on.
Yes, the chosen icon is there, but also this purple check (on or off), and I'm not getting an icon in status bar, but it is in notifications pulldown.
Always grateful for the customization available, but see room for improvement.1779028147827.jpg

Is that with the new OneUI (8.5)?  Because this is what I see when I use either a single mode or routine widget:  I do not yet have the  update.  When a mode is on, there is always an icon showing in the upper right status bar, so you can tell at a glance the mode is on.  Routines, not so much.  I agree, it's ugly and distracting to see the M&R icon on the widget - it's unnecessary.  But, your widget looks like it's from an older OneUI version.
