Galaxy S25
Just wanted to share positive news on recent updates on my Galaxy SF25 FE, since there is always negative light always being shed in the community on security updates.

Download the 5 May 2026 security patch yesterday and have not experienced any issues.

On 13 May 2026, download the much the anticipated One UI 8.5 update. Experienced no issues after the update. Other than just slight battery adjustment for a day or two, operating like a well oiled machine.

The only issue, which is small to me,is the Color Palette scheme Google horrendously scrambled up. I've learned to live with it. From my understanding they are working on a fix.

Edit: The miss collaboration between Samsung and Google on the color pallette, horrible.

You all have a blessed day

The color pallete issue was samsungs fault not googles, also there is tremendous lag when pulling down the control panel while watching video or playing a game on the s25 FE

I stand corrected on the color pallette, thank you.
I don't play games or watch many videos on mine, so non- issue here.

Material You on my Pixel is fine. Turning on color palette for apps on Samsung is still a joke. You are forced to use icons. This is using the new Scribbles in Android 17 QPR3 Beta on my Pixel. Simply amazing.1780430709169.jpg1780430709179.jpgZhgBcn6mC2.pnggNN3uTeDVw.png

Samsung's insistence on building a unique software experience has long been a pain point. It's frustrating because One UI finally felt like it beat stock Android for a while, but here we are, falling behind as a result of removing/ignoring features that are native to Android.

The worst part of having to use ThemePark is no dynamic icons, you can't go from light to dark mode without having to create 2 icon packs. I just created this in ThemePark using hex codes that are all over my phone. The folder widget icons I created using stickers as a cover photo.1780437909595.jpg1780437909611.jpg
