Since the last 2 updates, I've been having issues with my camera focus lens making a loud and very fast clicking sound. This started a day after Decembers firmware update. Then, this last update from January 20, 2026, I can no longer use the flashlight on my phone. I get 2 different pop up messages say something about "Smart face service" or sometimes the pop up error will say that my camera is currently using the flashlight. So, I went into troubleshooting mode and the only temporary fix I can find is by going to Settings>Apps>Reset app preferences. Then reboot the phone but it's annoying because you have to go back into each app to reapply the permissions. This worked for about an hour than back to the same pop up error message. Deleting the Cameras app Cache and Data does not help. I find this suspicious with the S26 dropping right around the corner.

Galaxy S25This procedure is also recommended after receiving system updates.
Follow the steps below,
Clear the cache partition
- Turn the phone off (shut down)
- Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the side key.
- When the Android system recovery menu options show release buttons.
- Press the volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the side key to select.
- Press the volume down key to highlight yes, then press the side key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system is now highlighted.
- Press the side key to restart the device.
If nothing seems to fix the problem, you may need to have a professional look at it.
