What is the "SIM Manager" function that's not installed for?

What is the function of the SIM Manger shown in the screen shot that is not installed on my S25 FE? This is under Google Services.

Wondered that myself my guess is a sim card security feature like Sim lock if I have term correct

It's for managing carrier profiles (see screenshot). Do you not have SIM manager listed under settings > connections?

I have SIM manger listed under settings & connections. I have a SIM card,not a e-Sim.
My question,do I need to install it?

It won't hurt anything to install it. Do you *need* to? I presume your mobile service has been ok without it, so no, you probably don't need it. But it's another available tool. Here's the Play Store link:

You're welcome. Some of it is an educated guess, to be honest. I wouldn't worry about installing it if everything's good.

It is primarily for managing eSIM profiles.
