I updated my phone a couple of days ago and now I have no network connection. On reboot I get a message that says my SIM is not supported. Spent hours talking to my carrier, got multiple eSIMs, and still nothing. Anyone else have this issue and if so, have you found a solution? My phone is a S25+ and I have been using it without issue since June 2025.

Having same issue with S24+. Fine before update; bricked after. Spent 6 hours between phone verizon tech, Samsung tech and in store Verizon tech. Nothing worked. They recommend factory reset but I'm going to try to reflash first. So frustrating.

These are the instructions I used..

Hello, The issue you are experiencing is because of a glitch caused by Samsung's latest software update. Good news โ€” weโ€™ve identified a faster and safer fix for Samsung devices affected by the recent software update. In most cases, the device can be re-unlocked by flashing only the modem (CP) file using Samsungโ€™s official ODIN tool. -We would highly recommend backing up your phone first using Samsung Smartswitch, which should be preloaded on the phone. You can also download a PC version of Smartswitch. โœ… No data loss (when steps are followed correctly) โœ… Phone works immediately after โœ… Current security update remains intact โš ๏ธ IMPORTANT โ€“ READ BEFORE STARTING You MUST remove your phoneโ€™s passcode / PIN / pattern / fingerprint / face lock before flashing the CP file. If a passcode remains on the device, the phone may force a factory reset after flashing. You may re-enable your passcode once the process is complete. After the Fix: Prevent Future Relocking (Recommended) To help prevent this issue from occurring again, we strongly recommend disabling automatic system update downloads on your device. Steps: -Go to Settings -Tap Software Update -Switch Auto download to Never This does not prevent you from updating manually in the future โ€” it simply ensures updates do not install automatically without your approval. Summary of Steps -Backup your phone -Remove your screen lock / passcode -Download ODIN and the provided CP file -Put your phone into Download Mode -Open ODIN and connect your phone -Load ONLY the CP file -Click START and wait for PASS -Turn Auto Download Off Once the phone restarts, it should be unlocked and fully functional immediately, with all data preserved.

You have to download Odin (lastest version)
You have to download the files from Samfw.com

To find the right firmware, you have to go on Odin and there is a button that you press (sorry forgot which one) that will tell you the firmware you're one. Once you know, you go back and check the version of it from months prior to the update that messed up your phone.

After 6-8 hours talking to support, sending phone to samsung and getting it back. I've had to tranfer my service back to my old s10e because it still works. After the samsung repair shop had it(they sent it back without the SIM tray), it worked for mobile network data but still wouldn't connect for calls and texts. I'm going to have to send it back again. Hopefully it gets resolved. It has been a very frustrating experience.

Just got my phone back for the third and final time. I asked for a replacement because my warranty is almost up, so they claimed water damage this time and that they would have to charge me. Phone has never been near water and the only thing that doesnt work is the basics of connecting to a network for talk and SMS. Looks like I'm going diy and staying out of the samasung eco system from now on. This has been a big disappointment. Thanks for all the comments and feedback. I hope you guys find a solution this problem.
