This will show message content while the device is still locked, if the passcode or biometrics have not yet been entered.

To get the notification pop up to show when the screen is off, the pathway is:

Settings > Notifications > Notification Pop-up style > show brief pop ups even while screen is off> ON

Please note that this ONLY works with brief notifications and detailed will not behave in this way

Fully waking the screen when a notification received is not a native feature of One UI and requires a third party application such as Glimpse. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.nullgrad.glimpse1777812779677.jpg

So with Google Messages, when you receive a text, it won't wake your screen? Then how do you know that you've received a message? And please don't tell me that you can't reply from notifications?

Stop trying to mislead people. The screen not completely waking for notifications is an OS-level issue, not an app-specific one.

Thank you. Users familiar with Samsung devices should be well aware that edge lighting with a pop up is the default notification method and that the vast majority of notifications do not fully wake the screen.

I posed a question, indicating an inquiry rather than a declarative statement. You may open Google Chrome and enter "What does a question mark mean?" into the search bar for a comprehensive explanation. A concise explanation is also available in the attached file.

My mobile device automatically wakes up and displays messages without physical interaction, and it allows me to reply directly from the notification. Therefore, I was surprised that Google Messages does not offer this functionality, prompting my inquiry.
Please see the attached pictures. If Google Messages does indeed possess this capability, kindly provide a screenshot as confirmation.
I was unaware that posing questions could be misconstrued as misleading. This is a novel concept to me.1777842861711.jpg1777842861720.jpg1777842861741.jpg1777842861763.jpg

Just because you placed a question mark at the end of your statement, doesn't make it a question. It's more like a directive.

I do not intend to be impolite, but any misunderstanding on your part is not my responsibility. This is a sincere inquiry, and I am still curious as to whether it possesses this particular feature.

Because of the inclusion of a laughing emoji, it indicates a humorous rather than serious intent on your part.
