Lock down mode

I noticed when powering off the phone now we have something called lockdown mode, Does anyone know what that does exactly?

It's on the 8.0 version not 8.5

Can confirm the setting is there on Ui 8.0. I guess you are not allowed to turn it on and off anymore.

8.5 you don't have the option anymore to turn it off.

Yep, it has been there for awhile. I use it when going through security check points. Should someone lift my phone on the other side before I pass through, I know my data is secure.
