Lock screen security

Does anyone know if a great security they had on the locking of your phone if someone tried to steal it the first thing they try to do is turn it off so the phone cant be found. Samsung came up with to turn it off you have to put a pin or password however it was setup. After an update it went away I was hoping it would come back but haven't seen it. Anyone know anything?

Make sure you have it turned on under Secure lock settings.
