I already downloaded the Perplexity app from the Samsung store, but I don't see the option to get a free one-year Perplexity membership. Does anyone know the steps? Or how did they get it on their S26 Ultra?

It's not offered with yge S26 models AFAIK. That offer expired last December. You can try installing it from the Galaxy Store only, create an account (I used Google when the offer for the free year was offered last August), and see what happens.
When I was buying Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, I was told I would get 1 year of perplexity Pro included. I just need to install it from the store and then log in and I would get a banner offering me to redeem a year long subscription. I haven't seen it. I reinstalled the app from the Samsung Store, and logged in with my Google account, and nothing. I am still getting charged for the year. Is the promotion gone already? If not, how do I trigger it?
