Okay. So..I came here, typing on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I really REALLY want to make the switch. I’m already deep in the Apple ecosystem: I have two iPads, one MacBook Air, one MacBook Pro, and one Apple TV (device). So, I’m done with iPhone, been with them for 10 years now (with Apple iPhones I mean). And I wanted to make the switch. So I have a couple of questions and I hope ya all don’t mind these questions.

1. I currently have 1TB Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. Right now I currently have 758.23 GB left available. I have 18, 574 photos and 1,874 videos. I do see Applications take up most of the spaces (still plenty left I know) so…

Should I go for the 512GB variant or should I go for 1TB? Is anybody in the same situation when you feel like 512GB is good enough or would 1TB be an ease of mind?

Just my 2 cents if you back up photos and music etc that could save up space for the 512 but 1tb would be good also

Backup those photos to Google Photos and get 512GB. If you plan on keeping the device several years then go with 1TB.

No seriously though. This is my first Samsung phone. Sadly I wish i had the option to go 1TB . But alas, I get max 256GB and it's already almost half full with just music alone.

Cloud storage isn't a terrible idea, but the ongoing payment is a pain

Honestly I would go get a 1TB external drive (something like this https://a.co/d/0b1PqGvC)

Offload absolutely everything from your iPhone and just start fresh with a clean Galaxy.

I start clean every time I upgrade. I have photos going back to ~2010 and I have never considered buying a 1TB phone. While it may be nice to have, I personally have gotten along just fine with 512gb internal using this method. Current phone is only about half full.

Also worth mentioning that Amazon photos has unlimited photo storage included with Prime. Nice little perk.

Well worth it, imo. We use subscribe and save for household goods and niche food products that are hard to get locally. Prime video is a nice inclusion as well.
