*SOLVED* - S26 Ultra Device Name Reverts Back to its Default Name

I've been unable to change the name of my phone - it's keeps reverting back to 'Galaxy S26 Ultra' . Very confusing to have three phones with same name within Android Auto. Anyone else having this problem - and knows how to fix it. ONE Ui 8.5 bug?

Having the same issue. I don't even have to restart the phone. Toggling Bluetooth from off to on (and visa versa) resets the device name to bog standard.

Possible Solution. Make the changes the force sync your phone...been working for me so far.

I have been using s25 ultra and now s26 ultra with one UI 8.5.

Also used one UI 8.5 beta on S25 Ultra.

Phone name goes back to Galaxy S25 Ultra / Galaxy 26 Ultra....how many ever times I change to my name.

Doesn't revert instantly but goes back in day may be or after restart.. didn't find exact timeline.

Has anyone noticed this..? Any idea..?

It's an issue on One UI 8.5 that affects some devices. Submit an error report. The more reports Samsung gets, the quicker we can expect a fix. Follow the steps listed here:
