Removing this app without any heads up is poor nature. I hate google messages and had i know I wouldn't be able to get Samsung messages on it i would've stuck with my 25U indefinitely. This is a joke. Give us the option to get our messenger back!!!

When the s25 came out everyone had a fit, about not having a choice to pick between RCS and Samsung message app.

That was easily fixed via Samsung Store, Then the masses was happy again.

The S26 ultra seems to have the same issues as it's big brother did last year. This time no help from samsung yet, RCS is the default message app for the S26 ultra.

To Be continued.....??? Or will it.....??

There are currently mixed signals regarding the future of Samsung Messages.

Samsung initially appeared to be phasing out Samsung Messages starting in 2024 and they have been intermittently limiting availablity/removing features since then.

However, in UI8.5 SMessages appears to be getting a visual refresh for some unknown reason.

Samsung Messages is still available and you can still use it, but RCS support for Samsung messages may be limited or inconsistent depending on your carrier.

As a personal example, I have no access to RCS in Samsung messages while some users report retaining access.

At present, Google Messages remains the most reliable way for most users to access advanced messaging features.

I had excess to both on my S25 ultra, where now I only have excess to RCS, on my S26 ultra.

The way I'm looking at it if samsung was planning on phasing out samsung messages,

I believe I won't have excess to Now though T-mobile, but yet I have on my S25 ultra.

I guess in the end it's a waiting game, Samsung holds all the cards.

Is this also in regards to voicemail services? I have Samsung s25ultra phone that I upgraded to because my s23 voicemail stopped working. So bought the new phone, thinking that was the problem. Still no voicemail on the s25. I can't find the problem, and my carrier can't find the problem either. We do know it's not my carrier that's the problem. Is there anything that anyone knows about this?

I haven't ran into a issue like that, with my s25 ultra.

The only advice I can give, is small but you did take care of the 1st part by contacting your carrier.

Check for updates for your S25 via software updates.

Reset Network settings, This can clear glitches.

Last but least try calling your own number and see if hear an error responses.

Last one that I can think of is,
Ensuring visual Voicemail or Cellular data is on.

Most systems require data to sync. These are the only troubleshooting information that I can think of at the moment. I hope it helps you.
