I have a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE, unlocked version. I have tried for a long while now to update the software. However, everytime I try to update, I receive the same response. Should I be concerned about the software being old? Is there a way to download and force the update? I understand that One UI 8 has just finished beta testing. Plus, I am concerned about the security updates as well. Thank you in advance for any information and advice.

Are you in the USA and where did you purchase your phone and watch? You likely have devices that are incompatible with your location. Have you made your carrier aware of this problem? They are responsible for keeping your phone and watch updated assuming they are compatible devices.

I am in the US, and purchased my Galaxy Watch 5 from Best Buy and my Galaxy S23 Ultra from Samsung directly. My carrier is Metro-By-T-Mobile.

You should take this problem to your carrier. They're responsible for keeping your phone and watch updated.
