KitchenJust want to say I love my Samsung refrigerator!! We have had it for a long time and it works great!! The only issue I have is that my ice is always getting stuck!! I have a small hammer I keep on top of refrigerator just to unstick the ice every couple days. No matter what Iโd do it gets stuck.
anyone else have this issue?

KitchenFunny you should say that. I, too have a first generation French door refrigerator with an temperamental ice maker. I have learned to work around it. My ice doesn't generally get stuck, but the whole ice maker freezes and refuses to make ice. I have to manually defrost it with a hair dryer periodically. Sometime this week, however, something happened to jam up the hopper and I cannot remove it from the ice maker assembly to defrost. It doesn't feel like stuck ice, however, as no amount of pulling will get it out. Ice is more or less fragile, so if there was an ice block up against the opening, it would eventually break off so I could get the drawer out. I'm going to try my hair dryer a bit later on the outside of the assembly to see if that helps. Otherwise, I'm probably going to have to finally get the unit replaced.

KitchenYes, this is a fairly common issue with some Samsung ice makers. Ice can clump from moisture or temperature changes, so checking for frost buildup and ensuring the door seals properly may help. If it keeps happening, the ice maker may need servicing.
