refrigerator surface degeneration

We have an almost 10 year old Samsung refrigerator that has worked well.  Our problem is that around the ice maker, the metal skin is bubbling up, probably water underneath there, seems to be gradually expanding...  I know we could buy another, but it's working fine.  Only other issue is that the replacement water filter canisters no longer fit.  Any ideas on the metal appearance??

Hello! I understand how this can be frustrating with your fridge having these issues since this is occurring this is something that will require service, as your fridge is this far out of warranty you can use the link below to find a service center in your area.
