Monitors and MemoryFeature request: two-input vertical (top/bottom) stacked layout in Multi View
Model: Samsung Odyssey Ark (55โ, S55CG970 / S55BG970)
What Iโm asking for:
Add a Multi View layout that stacks TWO separate HDMI inputs vertically โ one source on the top half of the panel, one on the bottom half, each at 3840x1080, together filling the native 3840x2160 screen.
The problem:
Multi View currently only arranges multiple inputs side-by-side, PiP, or in quadrants. There is no option to place two separate computers as equal stacked halves (one above the other). Feeding the Ark two 3840x1080 signals still results in side-by-side placement, not a vertical stack.
Why this matters:
The Ark is a native 4K panel โ it can clearly display two 3840x1080 sources stacked. This is a software/compositor limitation, not a hardware one. A top/bottom two-input layout is one of the most obvious use cases for a screen this size (two machines, one workspace), and itโs the reason a lot of us bought a 55โ 4K display in the first place. Competing Samsung models already handle multiple hardwired inputs more flexibly.
The ask:
Please add a vertical two-input stacked layout to Multi View in a firmware update, and pass this to the software development team. Happy to beta test.
If other Ark owners want this, please reply so Samsung can see the demand.
