Google Messages need to add more customization options for users

We should atleast be able to customize the backrounds and colors on google messages if theyre going to force us into it. Makes the phone feel less valuable.

Went I got a16 5g Google text was default message emojis creepy 😳 😐 and I couldn't use my custom Fonts I bought from Galaxy Store, So I went in Galaxy Store downloaded Samsung Text and disabled Google text

There are several color options available in RCS conversation settings and a few more options indirectly available via color palette.

For custom image backgrounds, you would need to contact Google to make a feature request as Samsung cannot directly modify the Google Messages app.

Google Messages > profile icon > help and feedback > send feedback

Alternatively, you can use a third party SMS app that meets your customization needs.

Those are lame and not good when it come to people who have bad eyes and I hope google is paying u cause u advocating and defending them real hard

Respectfully, advising users to complain to Google or use a different messaging app if Google doesn't meet their needs is not advocating for Google.

At the end of the day, Samsung Messages will no longer an option in July. We have to give users real pragmatic advice they can actually use.
