I purchased a Samsung Tab A11+ 128GB WiFi (SM-X230) on the key note that it has Dex.
Sources: It's stated on Use Samsung DeX on your Galaxy tablet that Dex is available on Tab A11+.
The tablet has Dex as an option in the dropdown menu, but all that does is turn the tablet into Dex standalone mode, which is one of the modes stated to be available.
The source site Use Samsung DeX on your Galaxy tablet, states that A11+ also works with Wired HDMI and/or wireless.
DeX cable or HDMI cable: Galaxy Tab S4, Tab S5e, Tab Active Pro, Tab Active 3, Tab S6, Tab S7 series, Tab S8 series, Tab S9 series, Tab S10 series, Tab S11 series, and Tab A11+.
Under Connections, there are no "Dex" settings as stated on the page.
The tablet is updated and running the latest version.
What am I missing?
