TabletsAs @Pianodude58 says, you can do it by long pressing the first message and then tapping each subsequent one. You won't see the radio buttons next to the messages to check off the way you do if you want to, say, delete calls from the call list or multiple files in file manager. The messages you select will be highlighted and a number count will appear on the top left of the conversation window. Tap a message again to deselect (if you hit one by accident), then tap the trashcan icon to delete them all at once.

TabletsOn the tablet, try clearing the app cache, and possibly the data. Deleting the data deletes all settings, so you will have to reconfigure them. No personal data will be deleted. Or, you can just wait and delete the messages from the phone.
